Guardian AI for Innovation & Artificial Intelligence Research & Consultancies L.L.C. ("Guardian AI", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Guardian AI mobile application (the "App").

This Privacy Notice is issued in compliance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and other applicable data protection regulations.

If you ask for help getting a car insurance quote, the licensed insurance broker that prepares your quotes is a separate data controller for the information it receives for that purpose, and its own privacy policy applies.

We use your data only to provide the following features:

• Trip recording: the App records your drives automatically using your phone's location and motion sensors. A trip can also start when your phone connects to CarPlay.
• Driving score: after every drive the App shows a score based on braking, acceleration, cornering, speeding and phone use.
• Fuel and Salik estimates: the App estimates the fuel and Salik cost of each trip, and a monthly total, using official UAE fuel prices. These are estimates only.
• Routes and navigation: route options (Fastest, Safest, Cheapest), turn-by-turn navigation including on CarPlay, and a heads-up before accident-prone stretches of road.
• Crash detection: while you are driving, the App uses sensor data to detect a possible crash.
• Family trip reports: you can choose people who are allowed to see your trip reports.
• Insurance quote help (optional): if you ask for a car insurance quote, we pass the details and documents you submit to a licensed insurance broker so it can prepare quotes.
• Invite friends: you can share a referral link; we use it only to record who invited whom.

We may add new features to the App. This Privacy Notice applies to them, and we will update it if a new feature needs data that is not described here.

Telematics and Location Data

• GPS coordinates and location history, including in the background while a trip is being recorded
• Speed, acceleration, braking and cornering patterns
• Indicators of phone use while driving
• Route information and trip details
• Motion sensor data (accelerometer, gyroscope)
• Time, date, and duration of trips
• CarPlay connection status, where used to start a trip or show navigation

Account and Profile Information

• Name, email address, phone number
• Driver's license information
• Vehicle details (make, model, year)
• Profile preferences and settings

Family Trip Reports

• The contact details of the people you choose to share your trip reports with
• Your sharing settings, which you can change or remove at any time

Insurance Quote Requests (only if you ask for a quote)

• The details and documents you submit, for example Emirates ID, driving licence, vehicle registration and current insurance policy
• The Broker Authorization Letter you sign so the broker can act for you

Referral Links

• The referral link used to install or sign up, so we can record who invited whom

Device Information

• Device type, model, and operating system
• Unique device identifiers
• App version and usage statistics
• Network and connectivity information

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To record your trips and show your driving score and trip history
• Cost Estimates: To estimate the fuel and Salik cost of your trips
• Navigation: To offer route options, navigation and heads-up alerts for accident-prone stretches
• Safety Features: To detect a possible crash while you are driving
• Family Trip Reports: To show your trip reports to the people you have chosen
• Insurance Quotes: To pass your quote request to a licensed insurance broker, only when you ask for a quote
• Referrals: To record which referral link was used
• Product Improvement: To enhance App functionality and develop new features
• Communication: To send service updates, notifications, and support responses
• Compliance: To meet legal and regulatory obligations

• People you choose: your trip reports are visible to the family members or other people you select in the App. You can stop sharing at any time.
• Licensed insurance broker: only when you ask for a quote, we share the details and documents you submit with a licensed insurance broker regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE, under the Broker Authorization Letter you sign. The broker may share them with insurance companies to obtain quotes.
• Service providers: companies that host our systems, provide analytics, maps and messaging on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• Legal reasons: where required by UAE law, a court order or a competent authority.

Under UAE PDPL, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
• Restriction: Limit how we process your data
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured format
• Object: Opt-out of certain data processing activities
• Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions at any time, including location and motion permissions in your phone settings

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption, secure servers, and access controls to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice or as required by law. Driving data is typically retained for 12-24 months. You may request earlier deletion subject to legal retention requirements.

The App is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover data from a minor, we will delete it. Report underage users to support@guardianai.info.

We may update this Privacy Notice. Material changes will be shown in the App or on this page, with an updated "Last Updated" date. Previous versions are available on request at privacy@guardianai.info.
