Guardian AI App Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Guardian AI for Innovation & Artificial Intelligence Research & Consultancies L.L.C. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Guardian AI mobile application (the "App"), including all features, content, and services provided through the App.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the App.

2.1 Age and License Requirements

You must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Hold a valid driver's license issued by a recognized authority
• Be legally permitted to operate a motor vehicle in your jurisdiction
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under UAE law

2.2 Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access or security breach
• You may not transfer or share your account with any third party
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

Guardian AI is a telematics-based driving app that:

• Records your drives using your phone's motion sensors and location services, including automatically when you start driving; trips can also start when your phone connects to Apple CarPlay
• Shows a driving score after every drive, based on braking, acceleration, cornering, speeding, and phone use
• Shows the estimated fuel and Salik cost of each trip and a monthly total, using official UAE fuel prices (estimates only; actual costs may differ)
• Offers route options (Fastest, Safest, Cheapest), navigation including on Apple CarPlay, and heads-up alerts before stretches of road with a history of accidents
• Can detect a possible crash while you are driving (this may not detect every incident and does not replace contacting emergency services)
• Lets you choose family members who can see your trip reports
• Optionally helps you get a car insurance quote through a licensed insurance broker regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE (see Section 6)
• Lets you invite friends with a referral link, which is used only to record who invited whom

We may add, change, or remove features from time to time. These Terms apply to any new features made available through the App.

4.1 Telematics Data Collection

By using the App, you explicitly consent to our collection and processing of:

• Location Data: Continuous GPS coordinates, route history, and geographic patterns
• Motion Data: Accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer readings
• Vehicle Data: Speed, direction, braking, acceleration, and other telemetry
• Device Data: Phone model, operating system, unique identifiers

4.2 Background Data Collection

The App collects location and motion data continuously while driving, including when the App is running in the background. You will receive just-in-time notifications requesting permission for location services, motion & fitness activity, and background app refresh.

You may revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings, though this may limit or disable core App functionality.

The App uses automated processing to generate:

• Safety Scores: Numerical ratings based on driving behavior patterns
• Risk Assessments: Predictions about future driving incidents
• Coaching Recommendations: Personalized feedback and improvement suggestions

In accordance with UAE PDPL Article 18, you have the right to request human review of automated decisions that significantly affect you.

We do not sell your personal data. Your driving and trip data is used to provide the features described in Section 3. It is shared only with the family members you choose, with service providers that process it on our behalf, with regulators or authorities where required by law, and, only when you request an insurance quote, with our licensed insurance broker partner.

If you ask for a car insurance quote, the details and documents you submit (for example your Emirates ID, driving licence, vehicle registration, and current policy) are shared with our licensed insurance broker partner so it can prepare quotes for you, under a Broker Authorization Letter that you sign. Guardian AI does not underwrite, sell, or provide insurance policies and is not a party to any insurance contract.
